Driving Future Sustainability

At RWZ, sustainability is seen as a fundamental pillar of our long-term success. Our focus extends beyond just the current management of our operations and investments; we are equally committed to ensuring that we continue to generate responsible profits in the future.

As part of our new corporate strategy, “Continue | Sowing,” sustainability stands as one of the five key pillars. This highlights its critical importance and underscores our commitment to it at the highest levels of leadership.

Four stages of development in the RWZ

Since 2016, RWZ has been undergoing a major transformation toward becoming a forward-thinking company, guided by the PRIO corporate strategy under the leadership of CEO Christoph Kempkes.

In our pursuit of sustainability, we are continuously working to reduce energy consumption and lower CO2 emissions. We’ve also cultivated a living value system within the company, which is reinforced through our Code of Conduct.

To ensure transparency, we track key ecological and social performance metrics. By 2025, RWZ will be required to report under the German law implementing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and we are aligning this with our broader sustainability objectives.

In 2020, we established 35 sustainability goals for 2030, covering a wide range of areas from ecosystem protection to employee development and material efficiency. These goals serve as a roadmap for continuous improvement, helping us to measure and refine our impact through our business practices.

We aim to create early transparency for our customers, partners, and ourselves, fostering ongoing improvement and collaboration. Our ambition is to be a leader in sustainability, positioning RWZ and the entire industry for a more sustainable future.
